Sales Associate Job Description
Reports to: SVP of Business Development
Summary: Sales Associate will be responsible for calling our current book of business and generating new leads for our sales team. There will be a heavy emphasis on data driven sales techniques and cold calling to generate leads and customers for Sales Team. This team member will be doing this by delivering a professional presentation to customers and upholding the ideals and standards of our company. This associate will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
Principle responsibilities and duties include:
- Heavy emphasis on data driven sales techniques and cold calling to generate leads and customers for Sales Team.
- Deliver excellent customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Works with customers to determine their needs and then recommend the right product to solve the customer’s needs.
- Assist in ensuring that the product presentation area is clean and organized.
- Develop and cultivate strong buying relationships with customers.
- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Reach out to customer leads through phone/emails.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Use ERP system to document and track communication and sales.
- Work with SVP and other departments to monitor KPIs
- Handle customer requests and follow through on manufacturing orders
- Ability to create BOL’s as needed
- Cold calling and current lead base calling to generate sales
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Skills & Competencies:
· Position requires someone with sales experience who has the determination/passion to want to grow within the company.
· Bachelor's degree required
- Food manufacturing, retail, or grocery experience preferred
- Experience with managing client relationships/customer service
- Computer/Excel experience required
- Demonstrated ability to grasp complex, fast moving manufacturing concepts
- Demonstrated business savvy to effectively communicate and work with others in support of achieving business and systems goals
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage numerous projects/multi-tasking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a wide range of audiences including clients, front line managers, and customers
- Effective team-player possessing team-based problem-solving skills
- Proven track record in achieving sales quotas

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
