Reporting to the Senior Solutions Consultant, the Heretto Solutions Consultant will play a lead role in growing account
revenue. This includes being on customer and prospect-facing calls, leading the technical discovery and demonstration phases. Your job is to be a technical advisor on behalf of customers and future customers. You'll also help developing account strategies for growth in assigned large accounts and strategic new business opportunities.


The SC heavily collaborates with designated Sales Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to close new business.


Ideal candidates:

  • Should possess strong technical aptitude so they can understand and evaluate customers’ technical needs
  • Have some sales support experience
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Be self-motivated
  • Have a professional demeanor and a positive attitude.


Some of the Solutions/Sales Engineer’s responsibilities include:

  • Partner with account executives in various stages of the sales cycle, including RFP responses, discovery, pricing,
    internal approval, presentations, etc.
  • Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions with prospects to gather and document technical requirements for utilizing
    our software and integrating with our platform
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to close new business by addressing prospects’ technical challenges
  • Act as internal technical expert in the sales team
  • Drive completion of Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal by providing detailed product
    feature/function and technology information
  • Act as a technical advisor on prospect or client software demonstrations
  • Analyze requirements to determine complexity and implementation timelines
  • With the sales team, develop and present solution proposals to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with implementation & integration teams to communicate solution requirements and ensure a
    streamlined handoff from sales to delivery for customers

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration
  • 3+ years of practical experience in implementation consulting or working as an integration developer
  • Experience conducting software demonstrations
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills; logical thinker
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for navigating technical & functional discussions with ease, with the ability to
    articulate complex solutions to a broad audience and communicate value propositions to customers
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple proposals, with varying requirements, priorities, and stakeholders with ease;
    highly organized
  • Strong sense of ownership

Great to have, but not required:

  • Experience working with DITA XML and related technologies
  • Experience in structure content systems
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Jira
  • Prior start-up experience
  • Previous pre-sales experience
