Full description of the position

The Sales Support HSA Specialist is responsible for administrative duties in support of Sales Account Management team and serves as the Healthcare Savings Account (HSA) point person in the Sales department for HSA related issues with member claims and employer or broker inquiries specific to HSA issues.

Representative Duties:

  • Respond to escalated concerns from customers regarding the HSA program typically channeled through Sales and Member Services/Appeals and Grievances, though sometimes direct from the customer.
  • Communicate with brokers and/or employers as warranted regarding oversight of the case.
  • Work with the Claims Department to monitor and relay developments in casework.
  • Communicate and document case resolution.
  • Provide education and resources about Western Health Advantage’s HSA Program.
  • Respond to various marketplace HSA and High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) needs as requested by Sales personnel.
  • Back up Sales staff with general WHA market representation including employer enrollment meetings and health fairs, when requested.
  • Coordinate with internal departments in regards to HSA program materials and communications.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to become SME on product, legislation and WHA’s plans, policies, and procedures regarding the HSA program.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HSA/HDHP program inquiries from internal staff.
  • Participate in the development, troubleshooting and improvement of tools and resources related to the HSA/HDHP program.
  • Provide internal administrative support to Sales Team – supporting and responding to WHA Inbox inquiries, supporting and directing into Sales department.
  • Cross train with the Group Sales Support Representative and the Account Services Coordinator to provide cohesive support to the Sales Team.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience working with HSA/HDHP programs.
  • Previous experience working directly for a health plan is a plus.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
