If so, the Real Estate Services Division (RESD) at Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking real estate professionals with backgrounds in the commercial or government side of the real estate spectrum to join their team.

As the Staff/Associate Real Estate Officer, you have the opportunity to:
· Negotiate complex acquisition contracts by analyzing market trends, rates, comparable tractions, and due diligence studies
· Oversee multiple projects in various stages of development throughout the state
· Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently and on budget
· Prepare complex acquisition packages for site submittal and site selection on behalf of the State of California
· Conduct real property title searches and examinations of the chain of title for a wide range of title orders, primarily commercial
· Analyze records such as: leases, subleases, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plot and map books
· Determine ownership and legal restrictions to verify legal description of property and completeness of records
· Recommend changes to statewide real property policies, procedures, and laws
· Conduct site searches and negotiate the purchase of real property for state agencies
Desired Skills and Experience
· An individual who has exceptional skills in cultivating strong relationships across an organization, with key project stakeholders and staff
· An individual who understands the importance of scope, schedule, and budget in delivering projects
· Proven execution of multiple, concurrent projects
· Exposure to commercial or government real estate transactions or processes
