We are looking for an experienced and high-energy Sales Director to shape our sales organization and scale revenue to the next level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting a sales strategy and building out a team of Admissions Reps, Account Executives, Business Development, and SDR's across government, law enforcement, enterprise, and corporations. The person should be excited by selling into new markets, strategizing the next steps, negotiating complex deals, and beating the competition in head-to-head opportunities.
Primary duties include: generating and submitting RFPs and related sales documents, collaborating with the senior team to set revenue goals and company strategy and implementing a sales plan to drive revenue growth, and attending key events to generate leads.
The successful candidate will be energetic, persuasive, well organized, and able to demonstrate the ability to sell.
This is an onsite role in Chesterfield MO and no relocation assistance is provided. If you are open to self relocate we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Develop key relationships with clients
- Maintain a pipeline full of sales
- Own all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
- Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture
- Ability to identify and solve client issues strategically
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audience
- Assists in the development of the sales plan.
- Prepares forecasts and KPI reporting for the sales leaders, CRO, and upper management, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting, and strategic planning.
- Lead, Build and Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees. As well as counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results
- Land and expand: build process and funnel for manual top-down reach out, onboarding, activation, and expansion
- Evangelize the product and personally help close the largest deals
- Work collaboratively across teams - including Training, Customer Service, and Marketing
- Establish the inbound lead requirements needed to meet your sales objectives
- Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development
- Establish and foster partnerships and relationships with key customers both externally and internally
- Drive the successful implementation and adoption of the sales and marketing automation platforms
- Analyze pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the sales and marketing teams providing key business insights: typical reporting relates to Demand Generation, Pipeline Forecast and Trends, Conversion Rates, Target Account, Market Segmentation, Win/Loss, Age
- Through reporting and analytics, validate the quality of the lead and pipeline data and provide guidance to improve the overall data quality
- Database management
- Define contact and account quality standards in the database, defining processes and data acquisition strategies
- Monitor the quality of marketing and sales information and define data improvement programs
Skills and Qualifications
- 7 years of relevant sales experience including management of SDR and AE functions and a track record of exceeding quota
- Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations, and drive actions.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Strength in problem-solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Experience in HubSpot, email sequences, workflows, lead generation, prospecting, cold calls, and lead nurturing.
Requirements:
- Ability to understand the impact of operational initiatives from a sales or marketing person's perspective
- Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate mode of communication. Must be proficient at analyzing data, building reporting and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
- Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems

- Base Salary 80-90k (OTE 160k+)
