About the Role

SMC is looking for a Metalworking Technical Sales Representative to join our team in the St. Louis, MO territory. This position will be responsible for using Metalworking technical knowledge to help provide the best solution for customer problems. The Technical Sales Rep will make daily customer visits to help maintain and grow Metalworking business. You will support customers with Metalworking technical knowledge for proper tooling, speeds & feeds, and solving tooling issues.

Responsibilities of the Metalworking Technical Sales Rep

• Growing and maintaning Metalworking sales
• Supporting customers with technical knowledge
• Cost savings to end users
• Test reports
• Weekly CRM entries
• Communicating effectively

Preferred Education/Experience of the Technical Sales Rep

• 5+ years machine shop experience
• Strong experience with metalworking cutting tools
• Related sales experience a plus (but not required)
• Self-reliant
• Organizational skills
• Goal driven
• Well-spoken

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
