Full description of the position

Summary the Sales Representative, New Business Development will use their knowledge of company products and understanding of the customers’ business to develop strategic plans to qualify, target, and close new business within an assigned geographic region or territory. The primary focus of this position is to aggressively hunt and build a book of business from the ground up with the training and support of the company.

We aim to exceed our customers’ packaging objectives with each project, making us a valuable and trusted partner for our clients while protecting the interests of the company and supporting company objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Aggressively soliciting new business opportunities within our business region/territory.

Planning strategies to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales goals.

Developing business plans for each account.

Developing strong customer relationships that provide significant input to planning company production, pricing, and service strategies.

Coordinate and use company resources to provide value added services to accounts.

Provide analysis and information on sales forecast and budget preparation

Experience

Industry experience or sales experience is preferred, but is not mandatory for an individual with the right skill set and drive to succeed. You must have ability to learn exceptional hunting and closing skills, the ability to sell value over price, work well independently and be held accountable to your goals.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Explorer Internet software; Amtech; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word word-processing software.
