Full description of the position

FB McAfoos has been providing service to the Benton, IL location for almost a century. Currently we have the largest selection of outdoor power equipment in Southern Illinois and has a complete parts and service department. Currently, we are seeking a dependable and experienced SALES ASSOCIATE to join our team! Our Sales Associates receive Monthly Commissions along with a weekly salary.


SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate is responsible for executing the sales of dealership equipment, representing the values of the company and creating the everlasting first impressions. Sales Representatives provide valuable customer service that reflects FB McAfoos commitment to providing excellent service and reasonable prices to all of its customers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contact new and existing customers to check on current equipment and satisfaction, identify performance gaps, accurately recommend equipment/services that would fulfill all the customers needs, and close sale wholly and fully to the best of ability.
  • Assure all documents associated with sales of whole goods and attachments are properly and totally completed.
  • Submit once a week call reports, etc. on a timely basis.
  • Maintain sales department vehicles and office equipment.
  • Assist Sales Manager with field demonstrations by completing inspection on desired equipment to ensure that it is clean and operational. Coordinate with Service Department to schedule follow-up services and/or maintenance.
  • Update yourself daily on changes to manufacturers terms, discounts, and special programs, sales, deliveries, valuations, and new equipment arrival.
  • Acquire and maintain in depth knowledge of all products and services provided within our company.
  • Keep in front of competitive activity and competitive products.
  • Have a good knowledge of used equipment values and be able to evaluate for trading purposes.
  • Maintain all manuals, price lists, and other documents in an orderly fashion.
  • Have working knowledge of all factory finance plans.
  • Attend any company, store and community functions that will benefit the dealership; visit with the customers.
  • Promote FB McAfoos with pride and professionalism by ensuring that the customer is satisfied with the products and services being provided.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by Management team.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment by interacting with customers, peers, management, and support resources in a way that promotes teamwork and a commitment to excellence.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or Equivalent.
  • Associate degree preferred, but not required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
  • Basic familiarity with small and large agriculture & lawn care equipment would be beneficial to this position.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment is a plus.
