Full description of the position

SUMMARY
The Director of Architectural Sales is responsible for leading and managing a team of architectural sales representatives, with the goal of growing sales and increasing market share for the company. In this role, the Director is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building and maintaining relationships with key clients and customers, and providing technical consulting and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and market share goals
  • Lead and manage a team of architectural sales representatives, providing coaching, training, and support to ensure performance targets are met
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to create and deliver effective sales campaigns and product launches
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, architects, general contractors, and developers
  • Act as the primary point of contact and technical consultant for clients, providing advice and guidance on product selection, design, and compliance with building codes
  • Attend trade shows, such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) to promote the company's products and network with industry professionals.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and make strategic decisions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and develop a team of architectural sales representatives
  • Train new hires on company products, sales techniques and the sales process
  • Continuously monitor the progress of the team, provide coaching, and make performance evaluations

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in architectural or construction sales, with a proven track record of success in leading and developing teams
  • Strong understanding of the window and door industry and the competitive landscape
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and their impact on fenestration and room enclosures
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
  • Valid Class E driver’s license
  • Ability to travel frequently as per the requirement.
