Are you a dynamic customer service individual with cosmetology industry experience who is wanting to get into the Beauty Education and retail industry? NURTUR Aveda is looking for a Retail Associate to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Student Salon & Spa Manager and Guest Care Team Lead to improve the Institute’s student and guest experiences.

What You’ll Do:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the salon/spa industry and possess interpersonal skills and attention to the needs of others
• Focus continually on hospitality, guest care, and service excellence by welcoming guests and students and treating them with care and respect
• Check guests in and out for appointments, ensure that their contact information is correct, confirm that the appointment is booked appropriately with the necessary notes, and that the guest is rebooked accordingly
• Effectively utilize and maintain the guest database and student books, ensuring that guest profiles are up-to-date and appointments are booked correctly
• Partner with the Guest Care team and leadership to set personal, team, and Institute objectives and goals in sales, pre-booking, re-booking, and retention
• Interface effectively and collaborate with peers and leadership to successfully meet scheduling needs

• Possess the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Have a strong commitment to customer service excellence

What you’ll bring:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, Bachelor’s degree a plus
• Minimum of 2 years’ continuous retail, customer service, restaurant, or hospitality experience required; experience in the cosmetology industry highly preferred
• Valid state-issued Cosmetologist or Esthetician license preferred but not required
• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
