Summary: Responsible for leading the company’s New Equipment Department by guaranteeing efficient procedure, management, and sales throughout the company’s six construction locations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through establishing a culture of professionalism, open interactive team communication, and a focus on acting with a sense of urgency for our customers.
- Manages the day-to-day new equipment operations in a strategic manner to achieve company objectives.
- Identify opportunities and develop strategies for improvements, cost savings, inventory growth, aged inventory, and lost sales.
- Expedite the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) process for new equipment.Review current new equipment inventory and confirm assets are at the correct location and in new condition.
- Evaluate current inventory, market trends, and recommend new orders to ensure the appropriate amount of inventory for existing demand.
- Establish a strong working relationship with our OEMs and have a good understanding of all manufacturer sales programs.
- Search for, locate, and transfer new equipment to satisfy existing and potential sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the rental department to ensure they have the correct machines on order to replace the units being removed from the rental fleet.
- Assist in meeting and exceeding annual sales plans for all sales territories.
- Manage, develop, and grow department personnel by providing regular feedback.
- Participate in sales meetings and actively support the sales and rental teams.
- Promote and enforce a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements:
- Equipment operations management and possess a strong understanding of the technical aspects of construction equipment strongly preferred.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong communication skills.
- Computer literacy, Microsoft Office proficient, and CRM software experience.
- Strong work ethic and team first mentality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
