Job Description
Duties
STAG Partners is looking for a highly motivated, innovative, business development professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of building relationships in multi-family construction with a proven track record. The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing relationships with clients, project managers, designers, brokers, and owners/managers within the multi-family industry.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
- Create and expand STAG’s footprint and build positive brand awareness.
- Manage and build on STAGS existing Key, Target, and Opportunity relationship
- Attend industry events, trade shows and other meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects.
- Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and other key indicators to the STAG management team.
- Coordinate and assist in the proposal process with STAG’s marketing and project management teams.
- Coordinate online marketing efforts including social media, email campaigns, and other advertisements.
- Responsible for maintaining and ordering collateral and marketing materials.

- Excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates.
- Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients.
- Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating and negotiating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
- Technologically inclined
- Self-starter with a collaborative approach to work
- Strong planning and decision-making skills
- The ability to multitask and prioritize your workload.
- Project management and organizational skills
- The ability to think strategically.
- Track and analyze sales data while providing summary reports to the Sales and Marketing VP
- A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Possesses the initiative and confidence to start things from scratch.
- BuilderTrend construction software experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Construction Operations
- Strong typing skills
- Business Development experience (prefer 5-15 years) in the construction industry with a successful track record of building relationships.
- Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations.
- Outstanding presentation and relationship building skills.
- Willing to travel as needed.
- Detail oriented.
Education Needed
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
5 years sales related work experience.
Qualifications
The Business DevelopmentRepresentative role is an important position allowing STAG Partner’s ability to successfully create future business opportunities as well as maintaining existing relationships. Qualifications for this position will be built based on the proven ability to show good judgment, work-related experience and applicable education through work history and formal education.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
