Within the Material and Structural Analysis Division, you will have a real-world impact by leading all aspects of the sales process in a multi-state sales territory for Thermo Fisher Scientific's Molecular Spectroscopy instruments (FT-IR, NIR, Raman).

What do we do?

• We schedule and coordinate face to face technical interactions with customers. Lead product demonstrations in collaboration with your applications support team to deliver detailed presentations to customers.
• We provide input in technical consultation and problem solving to meet customer needs.
• Meet or exceed established sales goals by delivering bookings commitments in accordance with business unit targets.
• We build and implement strategies and tactical plans to drive growth.
• Identify, interpret, and respond to customer’s requirements, crafting these requirements to fit the division’s capabilities.
• Optimally communicate bookings outlook to management and the broader organization to ensure visibility into performance and timely delivery of products and services.
• We drive collaboration and accountability through improved sales pipeline and forecast management processes by using sales tools like Salesforce.
• We work with product management teams and make recommendations based on the understanding of marketing and new product plans.

Who we are looking for

• Individuals with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related sciences is preferred, a high school diploma is required
• 3 to 5 years of sales experience is preferred
• Have proficient analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis, accurate forecasting ability
• Possess strong technical experience using or selling scientific instrumentation
• Business travel of 50% or more as needed within the southern US sales territory
• Resides within the primary sales territory (TX, LA)
