Sales Associate in Muskegon, MI
The Sales Associate position generates sales and revenue growth for York’s products and services. This position requires strong prospecting, communications, and closing skills to support and drive direct and indirect business. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to drive the sales process from start to finish directly with the prospective customer.
You are great at:
- Knowing how to build relationships and take a strategic approach to selling, resulting in ongoing opportunities.
- Taking action. You have a strong sense of urgency and tend to jump in and figure things out.
- Engaging in all qualified leads/opportunities assigned from various sources.
- Maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the Sales cycle: responding promptly and working effectively with your YWWT team.
- Prospecting for new clients through email campaigns, networking, cold calling, and other strategies you determine can reach clients most effectively so you can offer YWWT solutions to help the customer improve their business.
- Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue objectives.
- Identifying new opportunities with current and potential customers through effective outbound calling efforts. Ensuring that sales activities are accurately, regularly updated, and reviewed with your team & management, as appropriate.
- Utilizing a consultative sales approach by asking appropriate questions to understand the potential customer’s business.
What experience and skills do I need?
- A combination of 4 years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience. one year of experience in Sales (outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, telemarketing) preferred.
- Excellent presentation skills, both Webinar and in-person
- Self-directed, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals
- Superior time management, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven aptitude for problem-solving/sales.
- Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Dynamic interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet customer and business needs.
- Ability to think “outside the box” and innovate to uncover new business opportunities
- Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills (implementation, support, sales, and senior management)
- Experience working with MS Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Sales Automation Systems.
- Familiarity with business applications in the EDI, E-Commerce, ERP, and Supply Chain space.
