POSITION SUMMARY
Assist in the development and execution of CSE's strategic Business Development plan, in conjunction with the Chief Marketing Officer, for development of new membership and provide tactical steps for implementation for the credit union. Cultivate new, and maintain existing, relationships for all facets of business partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities
Research the demographics of the areas in which CSE FCU operates and determine population groups served by the credit union.
Develop and maintain contact lists of potential new business partners in the credit union’s field of membership. Contact and visit existing & prospective business partners to present information on available services, such as deposit accounts, electronic banking, and lending products, as appropriate. Enhance member retention and discover additional ways to meet their needs. Conduct presentations to explain the benefits of membership and products/services available.
Provide input on enhancing marketing strategies and techniques. Maintain up-to-date contact tracking tool.
Responsible for establishing relationships with organizations and individuals to achieve deposit and loan growth. Act as liaison to connect appropriate employees/departments to new opportunities.
Be a visible presence in the local community and sponsor community. Promote the credit union through visible participation in business, community, and charitable or trade organizations activities, i.e.: Trade Shows, Chamber of Commerce, Telethons, Home Shows, Picnics, Health Fairs, etc.
Create and make presentations on financial services to a variety of groups to promote credit union products, through orientations or new membership drives.
Trained as a FICEP representative in order to teach and present financial wellness.
Promote and cross-sell Business Services to partners.
Analyze the methods that are successful in developing business. Compile monthly statistics for presentation in related business development reports.
Conduct marketing research regarding industry and social trends.
Compile and maintain contact database (contact, address, emails, websites, etc)
Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Maintain CSE Brand through use of CSE Brand Guide

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills are essential for projecting a positive image as a representative of CSE FCU with business partners, members, vendors, visitors, and the community.
Requires thorough knowledge of all CSE FCU products, services, and procedures. Requires the ability to cultivate relationships, develop leads, make sales calls, and close business by selling the benefits of credit union membership to business leaders.
Minimum of 2 years education or professional experience in Business Development, Marketing, or Sales related field required. Prior experience at a credit union or financial institution is a plus. Must possess strong business development, marketing and/or sales skills and be self-motivated.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to prepare and deliver professional presentations. Proficiency with computer software applications such as Microsoft Office and knowledge of website design/update/troubleshooting is required.
Position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, procedures, and regulations; ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and present information to a wide range of audiences, and ability to respond professionally to varied inquires or complaints from sponsors and members.
Intermediate math skills (adding, subtracting, multiply, dividing, percentages, proportions, fractions, interest) are required. Good language skills regarding developing emails, memos, newsletters, and other communications to business partners other contacts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.30 - $24.00 per hour
