SENIOR SALES ASSOCIATE

Floors Direct Carpet One Gilroy showroom in Gilroy, CA is looking to hire a Senior Sales Associate to join their growing team. We offer the following:
  • Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 + Commission & Bonuses
  • Full Time Hours: 5-day work week (Monday-Saturday)

Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and provide outstanding service to determine their flooring needs
  • Build client relationships and ensure follow up is completed on all jobs
  • Visit customer’s homes or workplace to provide product and design advice
  • Review space/area measurements and calculate number of materials needed for project requirements
  • Will be point of contact for customer to complete the following: provide flooring sample suggestions, schedule installation team, perform quality control throughout project
  • Keep up to date on the wide selection of flooring, cabinets, and window treatments
  • Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications, availability, and sampling requirements
  • Manage time between the showroom and prospecting in the community
  • Maintain showroom by keeping samples and displays neat, current, and clean

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ proven work experience in Retail, Sales, Management, or similar role
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Strong personal and professional judgment
  • Ability to adapt and respond quickly to customers’ needs and wants
  • Organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work in a team setting
  • A positive attitude and desire to exceed expectations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of floor coverings a plus (Willing to train)
  • Knowledge of RFMS a plus (Willing to train)

Education:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business management, or a similar field a plus
