The Business Development Analyst is a core member of the business development team. The business development team (BD) consists of individuals with complimentary skills that work throughout the United States across all industries. The business development team has a fourfold objective: 1) compete for and win new national contracts, 2) manage the business relationship at existing national accounts, 3) support the external sales team to analyze and defend our business position (particularly on accounts larger than $ 100k / annum), and 4) lead focused sales and marketing campaigns.
This position will support each of these four BD objectives. The successful analyst will be able to process information in order to evaluate customer needs and to identify and match how AESSEAL can fulfill the needs and develop a way for the team to communicate this information effectively. This skill set ranges from identifying product usage, analyzing data and completing market basket submittals to creatively writing proposals and PowerPoint presentations for the customer facing members of the BD team. In addition, the analyst will monitor sales and service performance, track progress and act as the central administrator for communicating to the internal and external organization the BD initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES*
**
- New contract competition: The opportunity to compete for a new contract takes the form of an initial request for proposal (RFP), market-basket budgetary pricing proposals, request for quotation (RFQ), formal proposal and presentation. The duties include translating downloaded usage data and matching product selection based on fit, function and understanding of the intended application of the product as well as the competitive nature of the industry and business environment. RFP and RFQ responses address the commercial, service, reliability of rotating equipment and technical product questions defined by the prospective customer.
- National Account Management: Each year, an Executive Summary Report is submitted and the team conducts a business review meeting. In order to produce the reports, a summary purchasing table is produced and sales and product usage is compared to identify trends and opportunities for equipment upgrade and forward looking proposals. In addition, return-on-investment and project updates are provided along with cost savings.
- Business Review / Business Defense: Regional account and sales representatives are supported with presentation materials and competitive bid information. The analyst will provide on-going monitoring and desk-top audits of all customers with sales in excess of $ 100k per annum is carried out to assess and service issues and/or product performance opportunities that can be improved. This requires phone interaction and defining what is acceptable usage with the field sales representative.
- Marketing Campaigns: The analyst will support the BD team on marketing campaigns. This involves researching applications and customer processes to gain intimate understanding the cost of product applications from a customer perspective. Thus far, this has been successfully implemented with a target campaign on evaporators and condensate pumps. The BD team conducts a Seal Energy Audit and the analyst will collate the information into an upgrade proposal with presentation / meeting materials for the client and BD team. The analyst will also help conduct seal energy audits when needed.
- Program Performance and Administration Support: The Analyst will be responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring and reporting key performance measurements in support of Business Development activities.
In addition to other projects that may require support, the Analyst will be the central coordinator to the internal commercial department and work with them as a team member on all customer pricing questions, in particular price policy for contract customers. Coordination will require a close working relationship with the Customer Service Training and Pricing Administrator.**
EDUCATION
- BBA, BSBA and/or Bachelor of Engineering required. MBA preferred, not required.

EXP*ERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 year experience in business development and/or a combination of internships and co-ops in related industry.
- Must have an adept understanding and experience in working with Microsoft Office, to include Access, Excel, Microsoft BI and PowerPoint.
