We're a growing insurance and financial services practice contracted with COUNTRY Financial, seeking candidates to fill a full-time Associate Agent position in our office. We are in our 17th year in Watseka. We are licensed in the states of IL and IN with a local focus on Iroquois County and counties immediately surrounding.

Duties include identifying and engaging quality prospective clients and identifying and presenting insurance solutions that fit their needs. Our target markets include home owners, farm owners, and small business owners.

Our success and our clients' success hinges on relationship-based sales and service.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with our area and have a natural market in our target counties.

REQUIRED:

• A proven track record of prior sales experience.
• A clear criminal and consumer background check.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to learn and apply technical, detailed concepts when delivering solutions to clients, but communicate in simple and effective ways.
• IL Property / Casualty insurance producer license (must be earned prior to start date but not required at time of application, though it would be a plus).

Prior insurance experience is not required, though it is a plus.

Familiarity with farming is plus.

Personal lines of home, auto, and liability insurance will be the emphasis with an opportunity to expand into farm insurance and commercial lines of business.

Compensation includes a base plus commission with bonus. This is a pay-for-performance role where you will be rewarded for your productivity, not simply your time. The compensation range max shown on the listing is not a maximum; comp will depend on your performance.

Your work hours may be flexible to support client needs, your needs and our business's needs. Control of your schedule naturally increases with experience and performance.
