Full description of the position

The Hampton Inn & Suites Kansas City Country Club Plaza features 203 rooms & suites and 5,000 square feet of function space with full meeting services. Our sales office is looking for an experienced Corporate Sales Manager to join our team. The Corporate Sales Manager's primary focus will be new business development for transient, group and meeting business. This position will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing accounts for continued partnership and volume growth.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

· Experienced in hotel sales, preferably in the corporate segment

· Responsible for new account development through prospecting calls, internet
prospecting, hotel tours, networking, effective correspondence and off-site
appointments

· Responding to incoming leads from a variety of sources within assigned segments

· Self-driven to uncover new business leads and additional opportunities with
existing clients

· Knowledgeable of the market demand drivers

· Familiar with competitive set hotels

· Able to develop relationships with internal and external clients

· Able to make revenue decisions that reflect the hotel's budget and goals

· Attending networking functions as necessary and requested by Director of Sales

· Team-oriented with their approach to meeting hotel revenue and service goals

· Flexible in account-specific and market segment-specific assignments

· A strong communicator, both written and verbal

· Maintaining accurate business reports and client files, as well as weekly reporting of traces, call completion and bookings
