Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility and accountability for strategy and execution to create global market awareness; capture and nurture high-quality sales leads; and support sales and partners to meet future pipeline and sales targets.
- Lead the company in the identifying and implementing better technology, processes and resources to reach more customers (from hundreds to potentially millions) and drive more demand.
- Quickly gain an understanding of apexanalytix solutions, different and better messages, markets, clients, industry influencers, sales and Marketing/Business Development methodologies.
- Travel globally to communicate the strategic Marketing/Business Development vision to current and prospective clients/partners, including communicating consistent messaging and identification of Marketing/Business Development opportunities.
- Oversee and optimize the Marketing/Business Development organization, marketing events, webinars, digital marketing strategies, social media, and content and collateral.
- Own strategy for the website to serve as a major branding and lead generation element to the business.
- Work closely with product development, product management, and product marketing to execute Business Development/Marketing strategies to target markets and buyers.
- Provide direction and innovation in Global Marketing/Business Development operations, including but not limited to Sales/Business Development/Marketing system (Salesforce), ROI metrics on marketing and Business Development activities, Business Development/Marketing programs and promotions, organizational design, and use of third-party contractors when needed.
- Team with SVP of Market & Product Strategy, SVP Sales and other Executives to evaluate and introduce new product lines to market, determining, leading, and executing the Marketing/Business Development strategy.
- Integrate new media (video and other) into Marketing strategy, specifically cutting edge and innovative delivery of software technologies and services.
- Lead all functional Marketing/Business Development activities, and be directly accountable for budget, ROI, customer and channel support, and customer satisfaction programs.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Extensive (8-10 years) experience at senior leadership level with the Marketing/Business Development function in a global technology company that has bridged from a mid-size to a large company.
- Specific experience in Marketing/Business Development technology, preferably in business-to-business supply chain, supplier management, procure-to-pay or order-to-cash solutions.
- Experience leading an inside sales team and innovating quality meeting scheduling for sales.
- Experience selecting and working with Salesforce and other leading marketing automation systems.
- Proven ability to develop successful Marketing/Business Development strategies that support growth and produce sales; proven success supporting a high-performing sales team.
- Experience driving incremental revenue and ensuring long term loyalty and retention of customers.
- Experienced innovator, with demonstrated track record of innovation and efficient implementation of ideas into actionable results.
- Demonstrated examples of leading continuous improvement in Marketing/Business Development and for clients and prospects.
- Exhibits and creates passion and enthusiasm in creating a thought leadership brand and value for clients.
- Previous budget and P&L experience.
- Operations experience a plus.
- BS in related field of study, with MBA preferred.
- Professional Marketing certification a plus.
