National Sales Representative – Confectionary Products
Location: Irvine, CA - Hybrid
Reports to: Sales Manager
FLSA: Exempt, Full-Time

OVERVIEW:
A global confectionery manufacturer is looking for a National Sales Representative to join their sales team.
The Sales Representative is responsible for managing the sales of the line of confectionery products the company offers to national accounts (grocery chains, supermarkets, and specialty food stores) that are assigned to you. Successful candidates are result-driven to generate top-line and bottom-line revenue growth by proactively developing and strengthening relationships with customers and brokers with the shared goal to drive brand awareness increase.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
  • Perform sales activities targeted to national account customers to increase sales.
  • Promote company products and complete the transactions to achieve gross and net sales goals from assigned accounts.
  • Develop and execute retail-specific sales strategies and plans with the Sales Manager and marketing teams.
  • Manage the sales orders from national account customers including processing purchase orders, creating sales forecasts, and completing payments.
  • Plan distribution, placement, pricing, and other sales and promotional details to effectively promote and complete the sales transactions.
  • Conduct analysis on market conditions, trends, customer issues, promotion ROI, and competitors utilizing analytical tools such as SAP, IRI, and MPulse.
  • Schedule and lead category review meetings with key customers and prepare brokers with decks and guidance.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of brokers against annual goals.
  • Prepare sales forecasts of product sales to key customers and report results to the management.
  • Work closely with the supply chain and finance teams to ensure product delivery and payments on time of assigned accounts.
  • Participate in meetings and trade shows to effectively increase sales of products and improve the company’s brand position in the marketplace.
  • Other duties requested by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of work experience in developing and maintaining relationships with retailers, brokers, and/or distributors.
  • Sales experience with Food and/or Beverage Products, or other CPG Products preferred but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel to customers (local and occasional overnight travel in domestic).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
