We have a great opportunity for a Facility Manager to join our team in Grundy, VA.
Essential Functions
· Execute established operating procedures; develop, recommend, and implement new procedures as needed
· Operate facility within budget parameters, manage fiscal responsibilities
· Prepare monthly reports, client required and corporate required
· Prepare mid-year budget expense projections, along with preparing fiscal year operating budget
· Ensure the facility, employees, and contractors comply with local and state life safety requirements and OSHA requirements
· Establish and maintain favorable client relations, respond to client requests, resolve problems impacting client operations
· Review and approve purchase orders and invoices for equipment and supplies to ensure proper control of expenditures and fixed assets
· Approve employee timesheets and expense reports
· Respond to and coordinate on-call emergencies
· Coordinate facility construction or renovations; serve as liaison between contractor and client; ensure adherence to construction specifications
· Coordinate solicitation of bids from vendors with staff and other company departments for work to be performed on the property; award contracts after securing required approvals; maintain a working knowledge of all vendor contracts to ensure compliance; maintain vendor files
· Hire new personnel; ensure compliance with hiring procedures
· Develop and motivate staff in order to provide optimum service
· Identify specific individual training and development needs, provides bonus plan recommendations, and conduct performance reviews for direct report staff.
· Ensure effective property operations and attractive appearance; coordinate functions and activities affecting the value of the property
· Take individual initiative in organizing and prioritizing work; maintain an effective working relationship with personnel in all departments

· Project Management Experience
· Experience with PPRRSM (Provision for Plant Replacement, Renewal and Special Maintenance) budget management and administration a plus.
Technical Skills
· Proficiency with the work order process. CMMS experience a strong plus.
· Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Required
· Two Year degree and 3+ years of related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
· Previous Facilities or Operations experience in a similar setting.
· Previous experience managing a multi-building campus a strong plus
· APPA Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP), BOMI Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation, IFMA Certified Facility Manager (CFM®), and/or IREM Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation(s) preferred.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position with working hours Monday through Friday. Some overtime, holiday, or weekends may be required. Candidate must reside within or be willing to relocate to within a 30-minute commute to the facility.

Work Environment
This job operates both in a professional office environment and onsite supervision. Must be able to work in hazardous conditions with an attention to maintaining safety standards. Must be willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, hospital/medical/industrial settings and/or constructions sites.
