Kobelco Compressors America, Inc. (KCA) is a leading manufacturer of process gas compressors. We offer three (3) types of compressors: screw, reciprocating and centrifugal.
Kobelco compressors can comply with heavy-duty process gas service requirements (API Standards). With expertise in all compressor technologies, KCA can recommend and engineer the optimal process gas compressor for our client’s specific application.
Position Summary :
This is an individual contributor role. The candidate is expected to develop and implement strategic sales plans for their assigned clients/markets. This role requires strong organization skills, to lead and manage efforts both, internally and externally, and ensure assigned targets are met; this includes company’s vision, revenues, and growth. The role is key to nurture business relationships with current and new customers within the industry. This position requires substantial discretion, autonomy, and independence in the execution of his/her duties, decisions and/or responsibilities. Essential Position.
Position Functions and Duties:
- Develops and maintains existing relationships with clients and partners in his/her applicable market
- Leads the development of project opportunities and inquires to be bid in an organized and systematic manner, and while maintaining a healthy project pipeline.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with Sales Manager, Technical Sales and Engineering representatives to showcase and introduce Company’s technology
- Manages & Negotiates compressor bid packages, contracts, and terms and conditions
- Supports marketing by attending related trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
- Monitors market trends and competitors’ activities to and develop appropriate market strategies
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in Compressor Sales, or 5 years in Rotating/Static Machinery Sales
- Should have a clear understanding about market and standard sales procedures in the industry.

- Mathematical and computer skills; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs, plus knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- This job operates in a professional office environment and production/manufacturing environment requiring frequent domestic and international travel.
- This job occasionally moves around in manufacturing, power plant and chemical refinery environments; moving around in outside conditions that may include, but not limited to inclement weather, noise, dust, smoke, heat, hot and cold temperatures. Noise level may be loud at times.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (75% of the time).
- Must be able to frequently move around inside office to access file cabinets, printers, etc.
- Must be able to accurately detect, identify, communicate and discuss.
- Occasional positioning self to maintain computers including under the desk throughout the office environment.
- Frequently positions and/or moves light to moderate amounts of weight, up to 25 pounds
- Routinely operates office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $90,000.00 per year

- Compressor Sales: 5 years (Preferred)
