REACOR, LTD. is a Real Estate Investment and Management Company that has owned and managed rental properties in Minnesota and Wisconsin for over three decades. We are currently seeking a full-time Leasing Agent for a portfolio of four properties on the East Metro (Oakdale, St. Paul, Stillwater, West St. Paul). The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for sales, marketing, and property management and wants to develop their skills into a long-term career in the Multi-Family Industry.
The Leasing Agent will be the first point of contact for prospective and current residents. Their primary duties will be to professionally market and lease assigned communities, properly secure lease agreements from qualified persons, and assist the Property Manager with administrative duties. We are looking for applicants that are always focused on providing the best customer service possible and strive to make current residents feel welcome and comfortable in their community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct all business in accordance with REACOR, LTD's policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other Federal and State laws.
MARKETING/LEASING
- Maintains a professional yet friendly atmosphere in the leasing office and other areas where prospective residents and current residents meet.
- Answers incoming phone calls and handles each call accordingly
- Assists current residents with various issues
- Greets prospective residents, qualifies, determines needs and preferences, and professionally presents community and specific apartments while communicating features and benefits.
- Updates online advertising to reflect current market pricing on a weekly basis and tracks potential leads.
- Maintains awareness of local market conditions and trends. Contributes ideas to the property manager for improving resident satisfaction.
- Actively coordinate all renewals throughout the month, including sending letters and scheduling resident appointments to discuss renewal rates and leasing options.
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Properly prepares all lease applications, assists with application verification, and notifies prospective residents of results.
- Completes all lease paperwork and addenda.
- Completes Guest Card information form on all clients and performs follow-ups.
- Organizes and files appropriate reports, leases, and paperwork.
- Assists property manager in preparation of weekly reports, resident communications, move-out inventory, market surveys, etc.
- Places orders and calls to vendors per Property Manager's approval.
GENERAL
- Performs any additional duties assigned by the Property Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years work experience as a Leasing Agent, or similar position.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- MS Office proficiency
- Advanced customer service experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of property management principles and fair housing laws.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven sales, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Available to work extended hours when required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- AppFolio Property Manager software experience is preferred, not required.

We offer a competitive salary package along with health and life insurance, holidays, earned vacation and sick time, and matching funds for a pension plan. Hourly rate based on experience plus commission. Drug screening and criminal background check will be completed prior to employment.
