We have an immediate need for Insurance Sales / Business Development Reps. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible to support all aspects of the assigned database of current producer accounts, while also building relationships and expanding NSD’s product penetration

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service.
  • Direct prospects to the field sales team when needed.
  • Create and process orders in an accurate manner.
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis and respond to specific queries.
  • Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client’s needs.
  • Enter and update customer information into NSD database.
  • Handle grievances to preserve the company’s reputation.
  • Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales.
  • Maintain a 30+ calls per day average.

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma; Associates/BA degree or equivalent a plus
  • 2-3 years of workplace experience with business development duties (in a Marketing capacity preferred)

Knowledge and Skills:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills: must have working knowledge of Excel and Word,
  • Ability to multi-task, follow up, and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and take initiative to research variances and correct.
