Full description of the position
Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Schedule: Full Time Exempt Position
Compensation: Based on experience with benefits package
Summary: Supervises and coordinates the activities of specified service contracts for Goodwill Industries of Hawaii and Goodwill Contract Services Hawaii. Supervises and coordinates all aspects of the Secure Solution Document Destruction (SSDD) Program activities to assure compliance with all applicable requirements and established financial goals to ensure financial self-sustainability of the SSDD program. Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in operations of the SSDD line of business. Performs direct marketing effort to secure a stable customer base, and coordinates with vendors to secure maximum pricing for processed recycled paper materials. Serves as the primary quality assurance personnel for SSDD. Safety and Security is a key part of this job, adhering to safe and secure operating procedures and industry standards are paramount.
Essential Duties:
- Secures and maintains National Association for Information Destruction (NAID AAA) certification.
- Represents SSDD with prospective/partner customers. Markets SSDD services to potential commercial and government customers to showcase the benefits of the service. Establishes marketing goals to secure a stable customer base, and insure financial self-sustainability of the SSDD and works with customers to develop testimonials which will be captured into marketing materials used for expanded program promotion, resulting in enhanced sales.
- Coordinates with vendors to secure maximum pricing for processed recycled paper materials.
- Provides primary quality assurance compliance overview for SSDD operations.
- Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for SSDD Program.
- Maintains security policies and procedures in accordance to operating SOP.
- Develops and coordinates with the Transportation Department to effectively service routing procedures and to enhance operational efficiencies of pickup services.
- Trains new employees in areas such as agency policy, departmental procedures and agency or government regulations. Further assigns tasks to employees, and inspects completed work for conformance to standards.
- Responsible for the performance to specification in meeting contract requirements in service and financial outcomes. Monitors budget to stay within established guidelines.
- Serves as the Quality Assurance Employee in meeting standards of performance.
- Maintains rapport with government and commercial customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Enforces company policies, procedures, and safety/security standards to all workers the SSDD program as well as the Facility Maintenance Department.
- Conducts work in a safe and responsible manner, utilizing protective clothing and/or equipment when appropriate. Complies with all safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience related to operational management of work flow processes and program management with responsibility for financial success is required.
- Direct sales marketing skills are also essential requirements of this position. Must pass periodic employment, criminal history background check and drug testing. Must successfully pass all requirements of NAID (National Association of Information Destruction), and be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Hawaii driver’s license and clean traffic abstract.
- Access to an insured vehicle with current registration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and experience working with persons with disabilities helpful.
- Three to five years’ recent supervisory experience is preferred
