Full description of the position

Maxus Properties is seeking to hire a full-time Leasing Consultant for Windsor Station Apartments in Dallas, Texas. Maxus Leasing Consultants are primarily responsible for the resident accounting side of the business, support of our Property Managers, and the maintaining of positive resident relations of our communities.

DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities of the Leasing Consultant include:

  • Manage most aspects of the leasing process, including greeting guests and recording all in-person, phone, email, and text traffic, assessing needs, qualifying prospects, ensuring apartments are made ready in order to effectively demonstrate and lease apartments, processing applications, completing move-in/lease paperwork/inspections.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries pertaining to leasing information, maintenance requests, and resident concerns. Use good judgment to know when to escalate matters to the property manager.
  • Maintain courteous communications and follow-up and documents correspondence with residents, applicants, prospects, vendors, and representatives of other companies.
  • Perform “mystery shops” of competing communities and maintain a market survey.
  • Complete all marketing/advertising activities at the direction of the community manager. Assist with social media and reputation management.
  • Assist with resident retention with renewal programs, community events, etc.
  • Complete any other projects as needed and under the guidance and direction of the Property Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; current driver's license is required
  • Property management experience is required
  • RealPage or equivalent property management software is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing and commitment to abiding by all Fair Housing regulations is required
