SALES ENGINEER in Estimating

FCI Companies, a leader in the commercial furniture and fixtures industry, is seeking a qualified Estimator for our Indianapolis-Whitestown, Indiana headquarters. This is a great opportunity for a hard-working individual with terrific excel skills. Description:

• Analyze drawings and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates for commercial furnishings, fixtures and architectural millwork
• Work under general supervision of Sales Engineering Manager
• Organizing, planning and prioritizing assigned work
• Use provided software and technology
• Perform assigned tasks on special projects as needed

Requirements:

• Some experience in engineering, whether it is through education, training or aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural prints and specifications a must.
• Possess excellent math skills.
• Work well independently and as a member of the estimating team.
• Communicate/interact with other disciplines within the company in a professional manner.
• Excellent computer skills using MS Word, Excel and Outlook, especially a greater depth of knowledge using Excel.
• Possess technology skills and learn new software easily and quickly.

This position is NOT remote. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday with additional time as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
