This is a unique opportunity to join a successful hospital laboratory analytics team and work in a top notch software sales environment. Visiun is a wholly owned subsidiary of Labcorp that licenses, services and supports analytical software which tracks laboratory performance and operations. Clients pay a license fee on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis depending on the terms of the contract.
This role will have the opportunity to promote and sell Visiun’s leading laboratory analytics software to new and existing customers. The position covers a territory that includes the East Coast, Mid-Atlantic and parts of the Central United States. The role is home based and it is preferred that the sales representative reside on the East Coast. As a direct sales contributor, you'll find a rewarding role that allows you the ability to directly affect the patient, providers, and expand our footprint in the hospital laboratory analytics space.
Primary Job Duties:
Direct Sales Functions
- Generates new business by calling, meeting, presenting, and engaging with prospects on a routine basis.
- Manages territory pipeline and forecasts for new and existing add-on sales.
- Works collaboratively with labcorp sales engagements across labcorp divisions.
- Schedules and manages yearly customer business review meetings.
- Supports implementation team by helping resolve any customer related issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure customer retention by providing superior customer service.
- Updates management on new and existing sales activates on a weekly basis.
- Product demonstrations-schedules, coordinates as necessary. Compiles background information on prospect, updates PowerPoints and reviews demonstration with manager.
- Follows-up with clients on a routine basis after first point of contact to maintain a healthy relationship with clients.
- Analyze customer needs and develop innovative solutions to close sales.
- Manage customer contracts/agreements.
- Manages sales databases that could generate a lead or sales opportunity including past trade show attendees.
- Works in collaboration with Marketing manager on Trade Shows/Webinars/Email campaigns.
- Collects and reports competitive information to company managers.
- Educates existing customers about our business solutions for add-on sales.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintains and updates Leads, Accounts, and Opportunities on a timely basis in customer relationship management system.
- Enters relevant customer information and tracks tasks on a daily basis.
- Follows-up on leads by Cold Calling/Emailing accounts.
- Creates and manages custom sales reports, reporting on a weekly basis to VP of Sales activities from Lead follow-up and cold calling efforts.
- Participates in new sales/product training as necessary.
Additional Job Duties:
Conferences
- Attends local and national trade shows as required by manager.
- Manages leads lists from trade shows/conferences by updating CRM as needed.
- When traveling, documents expenses and submits expenses as required per month.
- Expenses will be submitted to manager for review and approval.
Experience Requirements:
- Previous sales experience or account management is preferred
- Demonstrated client retention skills
- Ability to manage difficult client and/or financial situations
- Ability to differentiate Visiun/labcorp from competitors
- Experience in the healthcare laboratory industry is a plus
- Proven success managing a book of business
- Superior customer service skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to deliver results in a fast paced, competitive market
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel overnight as needed
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 5 years’ experience selling into the hospital laboratory market
- Experience selling hospital laboratory diagnostics, or SaaS software solutions within the healthcare environment.
- Medical Technologist preferred but not required
