Summary
The Sales Assistant position is an intermediate level position within our company and serves as a liaison focused on communication between Sales and Operations. This role serves as a support for the Sales Team to provide answers and direction as it relates to insurance policies, required documentation and the next steps in the paperwork process. The sales liaison must have a strong customer service mindset and be eager to resolve problems for the sales team.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Essential Functions:
- Builds and maintains relationship with Sales Staff
- Handles inbound calls from the sales staff, emails and pro-actively follow up within 24 hours
- Review policy requirements and apply them
- Review the current processes within Insurance Review and make recommendations
- Communicates all internal/external policy updates to Sales Leadership and Reps
- Works assigned queues to meet departmental metrics
- Any additional assigned projects/responsibilities

- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn new software applications quickly
- Knowledge and experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, be detail oriented and organized
- Ability to meet multiple competing deadlines
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Two (2) years of DME experience preferred
- Two (2) years of Medical Documentation Review preferred
Job Type: Full-time
