Overall Objective:

The primary objective of the Outside Sales position with Navajo is to maintain and increase revenues for Navajo. This will be accomplished in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner with our external revenue customers.

Responsibilities:

· Be a Self Starter and have self management skills to recognize daily and long range needs and schedule your time to meet sales objectives and goals.

· Create an essences of professionalism and conduct yourself in a manner that will bring a positive image to Navajo

· Being successful in marketing in person as well as telemarketing

· Pass along to other Regional Sales Managers, any sales contact leads that you might inquire that could benefit Navajo in regions other than yours.

· Identify new revenue customers within the assigned regional area, qualify them and win their business in a manner that profits Navajo not only financially but operationally.

· Communicate conditions of the customers business to all operational personnel at Navajo to diminish any operational issues and insure customer satisfaction.

· Increase same customer sales by a minimum of 10% each year

· Promote dedicated business and increase regional dedicated business by 15% each year.

· Monitor daily area revenue and dead head percentage report and make necessary adjustments to bring your region into expected ranges.

· Monitor and discuss expected load and truck count each morning with each area load planner for your assigned regions. Assist the load planner in securing enough freight to make sure that each available truck in your region has a profitable load.

Job Requirements

Job Requirement's: Regional Sales Manager

· Degree in Marketing/ sales Preferred

· 1-3 years sales exp.

· Knowledge of transportation industry a plus.
