Full description of the position

Leading Freight Forwarder in the Lawndale area is seeking a Freight Quoting Specialist for their branch! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in Logistics/Transportation Quoting/Billing operations.

Full Time: Monday - Friday 6AM-3PM

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal/external clients via phone/email while serving as the first point of contact for the company
  • Calculate accurate rates/quotes while ensuring the customers needs are met
  • Prepare customer agreements/contracts
  • Accurately utilizing the company database to maintain/update customer accounts
  • Transfer invoice data into local systems while accurately prorating the revenue based on contracts/agreements
  • Compile and maintain customer account records
  • Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associates’s degree in Billing or equivalent experience in Quoting/Billing
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Import/Export
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in calculating quotes/bill rates
  • Logistics/Transportation experience is a plus
  • MS Office Proficiency
