We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our growing team! Our retail associates undergo extensive training on pet nutrition that equips them with the knowledge to properly advise customers on their pet’s dietary requirements and general wellbeing. Our ideal candidate must have a desire to continually improving their knowledge on pet nutrition and care, have excellent communication skills and must love animals. Prior knowledge on pet nutrition is advantageous. As a Sales Associate, you make a difference in the lives of pets by delivering exceptional service to our pet parents, acting as a steward of the store’s environment, achieving positive business results and performing operational functions. As a Retail Associate at Earthwise Pet Nolensville, you should be passionate about improving the lives of our furry friends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide guests with an exceptional experience. Ensure that each client receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment
• Educating customers on Natural/Biologically appropriate pet nutrition and the EarthWise Pet philosophy
• Share product knowledge and suggestions to fit customer needs and promote pet health.
• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities at POS register
• Assist in display maintenance, shelf maintenance, and store housekeeping
• Assist in stocking shelves, receiving of merchandise, and monitoring floor stock
• Keep up with basic weekly store maintenance duties: cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, dusting, creating displays, putting out new pricing, etc.
• Assist with other projects as needed including markdowns, re-tickets, labeling products, and special store events.
• Organizing and maintaining a clean store including front, self-wash stations and storage room
• Assisting with check-in for grooming and self-wash
• Answer phones for retail and grooming questions

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require evening and weekend shifts. ·

• This position requires lifting (up to 50 pounds) and standing of long periods of time.
• Physically able to continuously bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist multiple times a day

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
