Zuken seeks a full-time Applications Engineer to join our talented team!
You will be responsible for providing application technical expertise relative to the sale, deployment and support of Zuken’s E3.series software suite - the leading software solution for design and manufacture of electrical control systems and wire harness ( [please apply online] ).
Responsibilities include creation of sales, technical, and training materials, live software demonstrations both remote and on-site with our customers, creation and delivery of webinars, seminars, and other forms of public speaking. You will learn, understand and document customer requirements, tailor software to customer needs, and deliver and support software solutions that enhance the customer’s process in design and manufacture of electrical control systems. The technology focus for this position is design and manufacture of electrical control panels housed in enclosures. Industries served include industrial automation, power systems, automotive and transportation, smart infrastructure, aerospace, rail transport, medical devices, and many more. The E3.series software suite focuses on the design and verification of electro-mechanical control schematics, control panel layouts, interconnection diagrams, wiring, cabling, and wire harness assemblies.
Qualifications
Minimum: Five years’ experience as a field applications engineer, design engineer, or electrical Pre-sales/Implementation engineer. Hands-on CAD experience with one or more schematic capture tools.
Preferred: Five + years’ experience as a field applications engineer focused on electrical panel design, cable, and wire harness design. Programming experience with Visual Basic and the .NET framework. Knowledge of Access, SQL and Oracle database design, setup, and manipulation. Experience at machine, switchgear, factory automation manufacturers or customers is a plus.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have outstanding communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Must be capable of working in both a team environment and individually. Strong customer relation skills a must.
Travel will be required; it is anticipated that you will spend 20% to 40% on-site with Zuken customers or partners.
