At Innovative Gx Laboratories, our vision is to improve patient care by making personalized medicine solutions available to all.
We are a fast-growing, Texas-based molecular diagnostics laboratory seeking experienced Account Executives to grow our presence in the Infectious Disease and Genetic testing laboratory space.
As an Account Executive, you will actively expand and promote our laboratory services to clinics, physicians, hospital groups, self-administered enterprise companies, and other labs within our focused market. We help healthcare providers to utilize state-of-the-art molecular laboratory services such as Pharmacogenomics (PGx), Covid-19, Molecular Respiratory (RPP), and multi-panel Infectious Disease using RT-PCR technology.
This is not just another sales job, but rather a unique opportunity to be working with an emerging market leader and innovative lab developing its own industry-defining assays and genetic tests. As an Account Executive, you will report directly to the National Sales Manager and VP of Business Development.
Job Duties:
- Identify, develop and manage relationships with key opinion leaders in psychiatric, cardiac, pain medicine, oncology, neurology, family practice, and internal medicine along with other key healthcare professionals;
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth within a specific region or geography – predominantly in the traditional out-patient practices, but also inclusive of institutions, local insurance payors, physician groups, urgent care clinics, long term care facilities, corporate/employer Covid-19 group testing sites, etc.;
- Manage the full lifecycle of the product sales process, including new business development and lead generation via programs and other initiatives;
- Collaboration with the marketing team on the development of sales and marketing collateral;
- Attend local and national trade shows, industry conferences, networking events, and maintain active membership and participation in industry member groups and events;
- Staying current on industry and marketplace trends in the areas of family practice, cancer, cardiology, pain, psychiatry, behavioral health, and personalized medicine
- Develop commercial business relationships and implement an aggressive sales strategy with industry leaders in genetic medicine and healthcare professionals.
- Anticipate and meet the needs of new and existing clients by cultivating a service culture that provides clients with an excellent experience.
- Research, identify and develop new business prospects, including key accounts or additional opportunities in the marketplace.
- Develop strategic client retention plans that result in long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
- Partner with the organizational leadership team to establish and ensure business unit goals, timelines, and sales growth are met.
- Develop and monitor performance against forecasts and plans, ensuring results align with budgets.
- Work together with the Marketing team on the development of sales and marketing campaigns.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S./ B.A.) required. A focus in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or healthcare-related major is a plus.
- Advanced degree in health care or related sciences a major plus
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical laboratory / behavioral health / diagnostic sales/specialty pharmaceutical sales / medical device sales experience.
- Direct Molecular diagnostics and laboratory sales experience a major plus.
- Experience in developing and managing relationships with physicians, physician practices, patient advocacy groups, and key opinion leaders.
- Verifiable track record with building and growing a sales territory by managing the implementation of commercial programs and sales initiatives.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under tight timelines and schedules.
- Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
- Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated.
- Must have the flexibility to work extra hours to meet corporate and departmental goals.
