Outside Sales Representative in Jeffersonville, OH
Potomac Testing, a TechPro Power Group Company is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to strategically prospect and grow business relationships. The ideal applicant should be a student of an ever-changing electrical industry. Experience in sales of Acceptance Testing, Utilities, Large Data Centers, and working with Large Electrical Contractors is a must. Experience with Preventative Maintenance Service Programs, Switchgear and Utility applications is preferred.
Starting salary range averages between $125K to $200K, however there is no cap for a successful salesperson in this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain a report with established customers to develop a base from which you can find new business opportunities to grow the accounts.
- Target potential new customers to identify customer needs in all markets (Construction, Commercial, Data Centers, Energy Services Companies, & Industrial) and develop solutions to increase market share.
- Promote new growth initiatives for the business.
- Ability to close sales in a timely manner in conjunction with sales goals and budgetary requirements of your customers
- Provide the team with market feedback including competitors pricing, products, and programs.
- Travel throughout sales territory as necessary
- Manage and grow customer relationships
- Maintain your opportunities in the companies CRM with dates of prospective close, won/lost information and potential sales figures in real time.
- Provide continual reporting on progress to Management team
- Duties may include assisting in collecting payments if absolutely necessary.
- Work closely with the operations team to execute your service solutions.
Required Skills, Qualifications, Education and/or Experience
- BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
- 4-7+ years relevant experience in the technical sales role within the electrical services industry.
- Experience with electrical services is a plus.
- Previous sales rep experience in the NETA or similar industry preferred
- Understanding of NETA Electrical Testing and Maintenance Meet or exceed reasonable and attainable sales goals: As set by company for the region.
- Preferred to have experience in reading electrical drawings and project specifications
- Preferred to have experience preparing quotes for customers
- Preferred to be able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in sales and knowledge of Electrical Equipment.
- Must have strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
- Work closely with the operations team to execute your service solutions. You will need to be available with a high level of communication.
- You must physically be able to site walk industrial facilities wearing necessary PPE including fire retardant clothing, hard hat, eye and ear protection, safety shoes/boots.
- Must have good human relations skills and the ability to work with people from all backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with appropriate influence and ability to resolve business issues.
- Must have strong analytical skills, including problem solving, and the ability to understand numbers and financing plans to prepare deals for customers.
- Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Diligent in completing and submitting paperwork in a timely manner.
- Computer Skills: Strong MS Office skills required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Job Location:
Ohio Valley area - The office is in Jeffersonville Ohio. Job can be a combination of remote with presence in the office if/when necessary.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
