Full description of the position
- Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems requirements.
- Conducting in-depth product demonstrations of products/services
- Troubleshooting client problems
- Identify new product requests at existing and new customers
- Assess the technical challenges the customer is trying to achieve or overcome
- Ask questions to develop understanding and gain credibility as a subject matter expert to achieve bid opportunities, present solutions, and gain commitments from the customer
- Continually refine excellent technical knowledge of the Company’s products and capabilities – product specifications, applications, modifications, and troubleshooting – as the customer will depend on you rather than engineering to present exclusive customer solutions
- Manage the technical, purchasing, service, quality, and management functions of our customers, recognizing their parallel and important roles in securing new projects
- Assessing customer challenges and determining needs
- Drafts or assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers
- Provides expertise and support to customers and communicates products, services, and client needs
- Ensures customer needs are met, which may include product modifications
- Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains the benefits of changes
- Provides support to customers and resolves problems with installed equipment
- Assists with research and development of new products
- Act in accordance with company policies and cultural programs
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- BA/BS Degree with focus on Marketing, Promotions, Advertising, Business administration preferred, or 2 to 4 years experience in Manufacturing Sales / equivalent industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Automotive Conveyors Systems is a plus
