Occupational Summary
The primary function of this position is to drive outside sales (Trade) for a specified region and to ensure that the Ronbow retail locations are attaining their Sales goals. This position is responsible for driving revenue and leading the trade outreach for the division.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop new business leads, establish new pipeline opportunities with customer base: Interior design, architect, general contractor, builder, developer.
- Utilize prospecting and research tools, coordinate with assigned reps to qualify opportunities; prepare for and book pitch meetings with target prospects.
- Strategize with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process
- Conduct sales development best practices with email, phone, and social drips using enablement technology to connect with new prospects.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the sales team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans
- Work internally with other departments to ensure proper quality and quantity of demonstrations
Job Expectations:
- Develop and execute the company's business development plan, working closely cross-functionally across various departments including marketing, operations, product, and customer service.
- Establish the inbound lead requirements needed to meet your sales objectives
- Provide complete visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development
- Establish and foster partnerships and relationships with key customers both externally and internally
- Use knowledge of the competition, industry, practice areas, and service lines to generate new leads and prospects to build a pipeline.
Work Environment Summary
This position is required to work a flexible 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. The position also requires some travel to job-sites, customers offices and to association events.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Head of Sales and is a member of the Sales department. Seeks guidance from the head of sales regarding individual performance OKR’s, margin targets and goal setting
Financial Transaction Responsibilities
This position is responsible to approve financial transactions, and prepare financial transactions for approval by others. This position has the ability to handle cash, checks, and credit cards as needed to make purchases.
Qualifications
Education – Bachelor’s Degree required
Work Experience – Required
- 3 or more years of experience in related industry
- Outside sales experience, selling to trade members
- A thorough understanding of sales principles and practices, as well as the ability to coach others
- Management experience in a related field
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), presentation, and speaking skills
Computer Knowledge and Skills - Required
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher)
- CRM experience, Hubspot a plus
- Cabinetry and/or home improvement experience a plus
- General Contractor experience a plus
Other Requirements – Reliable transportation with valid Driver’s license
Compensation:
- Base salary + commission + equity stock options
