SunMED Medical is a leading National provider of specialty medical equipment to patients in the home care setting. We are seeking an Inside Sales Account Manager to join our growing Compression team.
The ideal candidate must have a background in medical product sales or medical products customer service, preferably selling durable medical equipment or medical devices. They must possess a true passion for helping patients in need, and must be comfortable on the phone for many hours each day speaking with patients a clinicians.
Responsibilities
- Manages a regular base of customers, with whom you will be in contact with almost every day.
- Manages lists of prospective customers, both current and new, as supplied by SunMED.
- Identifies area with potential, and completing research as a follow up.
- Works with manufacturer reps in geographic areas of focus to learn about new products to develop sales approach.
- Sets up new accounts in our order processing software, Brightree.
- Ensuring customers are sending over complete orders and providing guidance on what is needed for SunMED to process an order
- Compiles data on products preferred by customers and shares with management.
- Maintains a knowledge of compression products, including pricing, uses, insurance coverage, manufacturers, new offerings, etc.
- Provides customers with advice on products available and how to provide appropriate measurements to develop goodwill and promote sales.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with verification of benefits, order processing and deliveries.
- Update customer information in the customer service database during and after each call.
- Understands and interprets Insurance benefit information correctly for patients, therapists, doctors and others. Relays insurance benefits to patients and/or referral sources by email or telephone.
- Interacts positively with all customers, including therapists, doctors, colleagues, fitters, and others.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening abilities
- Strong computer skills, to include Outlook, excel, Word, and comfortable learning new software programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as fast typing skills
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
- Comfortable spending long periods of the day on the phone and working on a computer.
- Must have a HIPAA secure location in your home to manage your day
*A commission plan will be added at a later date.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
