Position Summary

ISCO has a career opportunity for a Business Development Specialist to join our Team. The Business Development Specialist will work closely with our Research Department and Business Managers to research, identify and qualify new customer prospects. Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic, flexibility and drive. The ability to call and engage customers is essential.

Essential Responsibilities

Make number of outbound phone calls per day with the goal of setting appointments for Business Managers.

Great understanding of ISCO’s value proposition creating the ability to share that value via phone or email to potential customers.

Initiating contact with potential customers through cold-calling or responding to inquiries generated.

Moving solid leads through the sales funnel, connecting them to a Business Manager, and arranging web meetings, emails, or phone calls.

Be the first contact for new business prospects and determine next steps for each prospect moving forward.

Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods.

Support sales team on outbound strategies and lead generation efforts

Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings

Position Requirements

Detailed self-starter, positive attitude and strong work ethic

1-2 years of experience in inside sales or making cold calls

Proficiency in CRM use as well as Microsoft excel

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with previous experience prospecting over the phone

Ability to work independently and on a team
