Outside Sale Position
Growing Steel company seeks motivated and outgoing outside sales consultant to sell and promote Promet’s core products and services through professional sales techniques, product service, and long-term customer relationships.
Job Summary -
Steel is a commodity that is used worldwide in a variety of capacities. From the automotive industry to household appliances, steel is needed to create many products. These products are made from steel forged in the mills and then shipped to steel companies. These companies, like Promet Steel, then produce and provide various steel products to other industries so that their products can be manufactured and shipped for use.
Job Description -
Promet Steel utilizes enthusiastic salespeople with excellent communications skills to locate, contact and connect with customers. These personal business connections are the backbone of the company and provide the foundation for which the company was built. A Promet Steel salesperson will prospect, contact, and connect with customers to sell their core steel products. Your duties will be to initiate calls, email customers, and travel to provide quality service and commitment.
The Outside Sales Consultant will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:
- Consistently ship personal sales quota
- Acquire/Open at least one New Account a month
- Provide sales forecasts for the following moth/quarter
- Follow Promet’s core sales process (Prospect, Quality, Offer, Negotiate, Close)
- Create lasting business relationships by calling, emailing, and traveling to see customers
- Provide excellent customer service and support
- Communicate with all departments (Management, Purchasing, Merchandising) when making a sale
- Manage 20+ business accounts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -
- Possesses critical thinking skills and enjoys problem solving
- Motivated self-starter
- Proficient data entry and retrieval skills
- Likes to negotiate and create customer relationships
- Superior organization skills
- Communicates well using a variety of methods (email, phone, in-person)
- Goal oriented
- Ability to forecast future sales projections and trends
Minimum Qualifications -
- 2-4 years of sales experience
- 2-4 years of B-2-B (Business to Business) experience
- Knowledge of/and Steel experience (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
