Outside Sales Account Manager / Multi-Family Flooring / San Francisco Bay Area
We are looking for an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, measuring floor plans, generating sales proposals, selecting and delivering product samples to customers, managing installation oversights and quality control. Account Managers answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Service and Operations Departments) to improve the entire customer experience. This position requires traveling throughout the Bay Area.
If you are familiar with account management software (CRM), have a flair for client communication and understand consumer behavior, we would like to meet you. Ideally, candidates for this role will know how to meet ambitious individual and team-wide sales quotas. Ultimately, a successful Account Manager should collaborate with our sales team to achieve quotas while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services. As the primary interface between Redi Carpet and our customers, the Account Manager must represent the company faithfully and with the highest level of integrity.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Measure apartment floor plans and develop seaming diagrams
- Select flooring samples and deliver to customers
- Create sales proposals to maximize profits
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts
- Ensure the timely and successful flooring installation according to customer needs and objectives
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly initiatives to management
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
- Prepare reports to develop selling strategies
- Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the region
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Skills
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role
- 1+ years of outside sales experience required
- 1+ year of multi-family (apartments) or flooring industry experience is highly preferred
- Highly energetic, organized and a proven track record of working independently
- Ability to communicate, present and deliver customer focused solutions
- Proven ability to juggle multiple customer accounts, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- High school diploma, some college preferred
Compensation
- Generous semi-monthly base pay and monthly commission payments
- Semi-monthly mileage stipend
