Snyder Diamond is an upscale design showroom in Santa Monica. We are looking for a plumbing parts sales specialist to join our team.

A parts specialist determines the correct replacement or spare part for a customer by inspecting the old part, having the customer describe the problem and searching the computer system and/or catalogs for stock numbers and prices. A parts specialist can explain how a part functions, demonstrate proper use of equipment and provide advice and installation instruction to customers.

Parts specialists also process sales, examine exchanged parts, stock shelves, and keep stockrooms organized. In some settings, a parts specialist will provide services over the telephone or in person.

Responsibilities include:

• Advise customers on substitution of parts

• Sell merchandise

• Provide excellent customer service

• Receive customer orders

• Stock and organize goods

• Work as a team member

• Estimate delivery dates

• Examine returned parts for defects

• Maintain customer records

• Answer customer inquiries

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of customer service experience

• Prior plumbing parts knowledge preferred

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
