Full description of the position

Description:
  • THE TRAINEE POSITION BEGINS IN JANUARY 2023

Summary/Objective

A trainee with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos works in an organization and environment that is recognized as one of the best in minor league baseball. The Blue Wahoos hope to provide each trainee valuable work experience, and great preparation for a full-time position with the Blue Wahoos or other sports organizations. The position is seasonal, generally limited to a maximum of 30 hours per week and does not include benefits other than pay ($11/hr).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in gameday preparations, including but not limited to, , clean and prepare party decks, labeling party deck tables, ensure umbrellas are up, setting up gameday signs, inflatables etc.
  • Cold call & prospect new group leads (minimum of 15-20 calls per day)
  • Maintain group sales inventory
  • Daily reporting of sales and goals
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all groups pre/post game
  • Learn and effectively use ticketing system to book all groups
  • Maintain group database using Sales Logic CRM
  • Assist with tarp pulls
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide support to other departments, as necessary

  • Ability to pull tarp and other manual labor task

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred and customer service experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a seasonal, part-time position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend and holidays work according to business needs.

The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard office equipment including computers.
