WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Sales Representative supporting the Electrophysiology business. The EP Sales Representative calls on physicians, EP lab staff leadership and support personnel, and hospital leaders to sell a variety of Abbott’s entire Electrophysiology portfolio including 3D mapping, recording, diagnostic, therapeutic, and Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE) products in an assigned territory. Services accounts, suggests, and presents new products. The Sales Representative will also actively engage in clinical discussions surrounding the use of Abbott’s EP products and directly supports or coordinates support for Electrophysiology procedures. Close coordination with the clinical support team is vital in this role as is effective internal communication with EP leadership, Technical Support, Education, Marketing, Enterprise Accounts, and other organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Contacts, visits, and generates interest from clients and potential clients in Abbott’s EP product portfolio and addresses any client questions and concerns.
- Provides medical professionals with information and training on the use of Company products and with staff education, in-services, and technical troubleshooting.
- Collects and studies information about new and existing products and monitors competitor products and activities.
- Analyses sales statistics; prepares reports; and performs required administrative sales duties, e.g., filing expense account reports, scheduling appointments, and making travel plans.
- May attend trade shows where new products and technologies are showcased and conferences to meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new product developments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent and typically five plus years of progressively more responsible sales experience, including experience with medical devices.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, physicians, hospital administrators, clinical specialists, and other sales representatives.
- Working knowledge of domestic regulations relative to the medical device industry.
- A demonstrated ability to analyze, evaluate and explain technologically complex devices; ability to work with and direct others effectively; ability to prepare and present strong written and verbal communications; and familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations, and procedures.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication, negotiation, sales, interpersonal and presentation skills. Demonstrated working knowledge of frequently used personal computer programs and relevant applications.
Your preferred qualifications:
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) certificate
- A comprehensive understanding of electrophysiology technology
- Demonstrated track record of success in EP or CRM sales, or related field

The salary for this role is between $62,700 – $125,300
