The Regional Account Manager – Rivers, Lakes, Ocean is responsible for building awareness, interest and sales for our river, lakes and coastal products through prospecting, training, relationship building, and sales activities with travel agent partners and their consumers within their assigned sales territory.

About the Opportunity:
The Regional Account Manager – Rivers, Lakes, Ocean is responsible for building awareness, interest and sales for our river, lakes and coastal products through prospecting, training, relationship building, and sales activities with travel agent partners and their consumers within their assigned sales territory.

About You:
This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody American Queen Voyages’ RESPECT Service System.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact, working alongside other RAM team members for Rivers/Lakes/Ocean sales opportunities within the assigned sales territory
- Develop and execute annual and quarterly territory sales and marketing plans that maximizes our presence within the branch offices of the national “A” accounts, territory based “A” accounts as well as select “B” and “C” accounts.
- Build strategic sales and marketing plans to increase sales among the right accounts in the territory and find new business opportunities through new accounts
- Foster strong business relationships with the key members of the territories “A” and select “B’ accounts to generate increased sales volume through new accounts
- Execute in person and webinar-based training sessions with travel agency accounts to increase product awareness, interest, and conversion for our river, lakes, and coastal products
- Ensure travel agent partners are equipped with the right tools and knowledge needed to promote and close sales for the river, lakes, and coastal products
- Provide internal partners a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape to clearly differentiate the river, lakes, and coastal products
- Provide rapid response to agents in a timely fashion for questions and follow up needs
- Use the company’s CRM to manage territory activities as well as record and report sales progress with the agencies
- Identify and participate in meaningful trade and consumer travel shows and programs to showcase our river, lakes, and coastal products as needed
- Work with Sales leadership on special projects that will help our business

Requirements & Qualifications:
Education:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Bachelor’s Degree desired

Experience:
- At least five years of proven sales/or business development experience within cruise/travel sales
Other:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be willing to travel up to 70%
- Must have a car for travel purposes
- Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident/incident testing
- Additional requirements may be required depending on the physical needs of the role
