Full description of the position

Our Central Strategy team is looking for a Senior Business Strategist to play a key part in developing and driving new initiatives across the Commodities and Global Markets group in the Americas.

In this role, you will partner with our divisional leaders in our Commodities Markets, Fixed Income and Currencies, Credit Markets, Futures, and Specialized Asset Finance businesses to explore unrealized opportunities. You will present business plans for new initiatives, investment proposals for equity investments, sector analysis for new growth opportunities, modeling of specific debt and equity investments and project management of new business initiatives with credit, financing, market risk, compliance, and other key stake holders.

You’ll offer strategic advice and apply fact-based analytic and project management disciplines to simplify and solve complex and ambiguous problems across a diverse group of areas including but not limited to cross-commodities (financial and physical), Environmental and Social Governance (ESG), energy transition, agriculture transition, asset finance (telecom, semiconductors, machinery etc.), foreign exchange and rates including emerging markets and lending across all our areas of focus.

Whether helping our clients in their energy or agricultural transition, finance needed telecom, semiconductor or machinery assets that power our communities or innovative finance solutions that expand business opportunity in an emerging market, the strategic advice you provide will empower people to innovate and invest for a better future.

This may include equity investment opportunities, the expansion of our cross-group Platinum client initiative, expansion of our businesses in Latin America, as well as direct involvement in and potential project management of specific transactions.

In order to be successful, you will have managing consulting skills and experience working on consulting engagements in the areas of strategic development, revenue enhancement and operational efficiency as well as experience working directly with senior client stakeholders. You should excel in dynamic and fast-paced environments and must have a proven track record in structured problem solving.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic results
  • MBA preferred
  • Approximately 5 years + work experience at a top management consulting firm or similar
  • Financial Service experiences – preferred not required
  • Experience in/experience with Commodity markets – preferred not required

Salary range for this position: $135,000 - $225,000/Yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
