POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sales consultant is responsible for executing and delivering sales plans in their assigned account base. The position will report to their Region Sales Manager. The position is a field position.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Execution of sales goals in their account base.
Identify opportunities to increase market share.
Enable members of the trade to be our brand champions
Merchandise and position our brands to be sold at a high velocity in the on and off-premise channels
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Physically visit and call on accounts in order to execute sales goals.
Account Calls Logged into Great Vines (Minimum Standards to be Met weekly)
Usage of company platforms (750, Great Vines, OID) to create selling materials, analyze and review sales history, survey accounts, and enter orders
Execute staff training in on and off-premise accounts.
Merchandise with appropriate POS, i.e., case cards, bottle neckers, printed wine lists and cocktail menus, etc.
KPIS: Floor displays, cold box placements, end caps, shelf placements and management of warm shelf, in store visibility, impulse buy/at point of sale opportunity in the off-premise, and backbar distribution, well opportunity, kitchen wines and spirits, cocktail list placements, bottle list placements, feature cards (introducing new wine by the glass, Coravin, cocktail or shot feature), after dinner list placement, wine list and wines by the glass placements, hotel grab and go, hotel in room feature baskets, in the on-premise.
E-commerce: assist their customers in developing an e-commerce platform.
Report back to their region sales manager with all requested deliverables on time when they are due.
Take ownership of sales results, adjust and rebalance sales planning to drive success.
Own the relationships in their assigned accounts.
Prospect and open new on and off premise accounts.
Attend Dinners and Company functions as needed outside of normal business hours.
QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred but not required
Minimum 5 years industry experience
WSET Level 2
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office a must with an emphasis on Excel usage.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Experience in Common industry software preferred – Diver, GreatVines, SevenFifty.
Excellent interpersonal and communication Skills – ability to problem solve.
Multi-tasking capability (Adaptable & Flexible).
Ability to work extended hours if required.
Ability to travel to sales meeting, trainings and to and from accounts.
