Full description of the position

Sell general insurance products to agency target customers. As a result grow the customer insurance portfolio and insurance client base generating substantial and sustainable growth in the agency. You must ensure that the results and activities are recorded and made visible to Agency Management.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• To actively sell general insurance products with main focus on Auto, Home, Life and Retirement Insurance and to maintain and grow the existing client base and portfolio
• To manage, coach, mentor and motivate the agency service and sales personnel, making regular sales coaching activities with each team member
• Responsible for the development, training and performance appraisal of Agency staff in respect of insurance sales and service
• To accurately measure, monitor and report upon the activities and performance of your agency staff
• Build, develop and maintain staff within your agency
• Ensure that a minimum of one individual sales review per month and one quarterly group review is held and reported upon
• Maintain a close working cooperation with the agency management , including monthly result reviews
• Report in agreed intervals the agency sales performance to management

Your skills and experience

• Hold a current valid Producer P&C and Life License (or willing to obtain)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to communicate at the right level to the target audience, ensuring a quick turnaround in response to queries, using well-constructed and persuasive arguments to influence others
• Maintain high levels of energy and stamina
• Generate new ideas to improve performance, translating these ideas into practical solutions
• Advance personal computer skills and demonstrated competency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access data base
• Good people management skills
• Ability to motivate and develop employee's
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
• Minimum of 2 years in business management with solid knowledge on policy design, placements and structure
• Solid knowledge of sales management
• Minimum of 3 years direct sales experience
• Languages: English/Spanish (Preferred)
