Position Summary: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for selling products, providing high level customer service to present to potential customers, reaching business targets through excellent telephone sales and communications skills. This individual will also develop his or her sales leads, initiation of prospect calls and the establishment of ongoing rapport with existing customers. Integrity, vision, professionalism and passion are key components of this position.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Responding to customer service calls courteously and professionally, answering customers' questions and sending additional information per email.
- Understanding customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities.
- Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
- Seeking, following-up and qualifying new leads.
- Upselling and explaining product and services features, via telephone and email; providing prices and lead times.
- Preparing Quotes, Orders, addressing client inquiries regarding status of orders, backorder reports, payments, RGAs, returns, repairs, etc.
- Communicating with in house teams in inquire build time, technical requirements, and shipping logistics to provide the most accurate lead times.
- Providing customer support and troubleshooting services via telephone and email.
- Communicating with existing and new customers, contacting potential customers, and following up on leads, including communicating shipping of confirmed orders, any delays or ETA’s
- Staying up-to-date about competing products and services.
- Closing sales and achieving sales targets
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues.
- Support in-house Customer Service Representatives upon request, as time permits
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- 3 years of direct work experience in technical product sales.
- Solid experience in call control, account development, and time management.
- Mechanical aptitude a plus.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Experience with SAP systems a plus.
- English fluency required.
- Spanish speaking/writing a plus.
